Becki Weems, M.S.

Becki Weems is a current full-time instructional coach who is passionate about teaching. She believes every student deserves a high-quality teacher and that every teacher deserves high-quality professional development. While in the classroom, Becki’s campus peers voted her Teacher of the Year. In addition to working full-time in public education, Becki Weems also writes curriculum for Accelerate Learning, Inc. (STEMscopes).

As a teacher, Becki attended hours and hours of required PD. Unfortunately, most of these professional development sessions did not showcase the quality teaching techniques that are expected in classrooms everyday. In response to this, she began her quest to design her own workshops focusing on the application of these skills. For example, instead of simply discussing the theory of differentiation, she designed a training in which educators experience differentiation first-hand and then have opportunities to plan the strategies they just learned into upcoming units. She guarantees that you will walk out of every session with something that can be easily turned around and immediately implemented with students.

Outside of school, Becki is the proud mom of two rescue pit bulls. She is also a diehard Houston Astros fan and Florida State Seminole. If you want to strike up a conversation about baseball or college football, she’ll always oblige.
